I really didn't know what to expect from this one and to be honest I had a hard time with about the first 2 pages. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at all but it was an ARC and I was going to read it no matter what. I mean, Roni just seemed kind of like a slut and it was slow. I just had a hard time getting into it. Then I got to a good part and it just kept going. Roni & Mateo are well, no other way to put it other than just HOT! I could feel the heat coming off my kindle reading this sexy piece. It didn't take long before my mind was changed about it being boring. It had me on edge wondering what was going to happen and asking if Roni was crazy or just fearless. Mateo is the ultimate sexy bad boy. You can't get much worse than a gangster right? Like I said after the first couple of pages it was thrilling with all the bad guys and sweet with Mateo wanting to protect Roni when she thought she could protect herself. It was a great short read and if you like a little thrill with a hot sexy couple then this is what you are looking for.

Restore Me (Wrecked Series #2) by J.L.Mac

Synopsis:
Navigating the world alone is all Josephine Geroux has ever known. Life altering tragedy struck early on for her. She endured an admirable struggle through her youth and learned the hard way how to adapt and survive. She managed to arrive at adulthood in one piece in spite of it all.

After such chaos, maintaining a life free of complications is a priority for her.
Everything changed when a man with amber eyes came through her door and claimed her heart. She fell hard in more ways than one. The pull between Jo and Damon seemed like fate bringing things full circle.

With another devastating loss looming, Jo fights to hold on to the very thing that brought her to her knees. She finds herself torn between a promising future and clinging to a devastating past.
But that’s not the most worrisome problem on her hands.

She must convince more than just herself to let the past stay in the past, where it belongs, but on her journey to find closure and resolution, she does the exact opposite. An old wound caused by a heinous act becomes exposed for what it is. The truth is catastrophic and Jo is helpless, watching as the ruins of her fragile world endure more turmoil.

Two warnings 1. If you haven't read Wreck me do it NOW! 2. Grab the whole damn tissue box maybe 3 you will need them! Now with that said......

My review: 5 stars
I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen to receive an ARC of this book. First if you haven't read the first book in the Wrecked Series, Wreck Me(my review of it is here) then do it NOW! If you have read it then you know it was a cliffhanger with the "OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME J.L. MAC" ending and we were all waiting to find out what happened to Damon. Did he die? Did he live? Will Jo survive this? I mean the girl has had nothing but bad in her life it seems and how much can one person take? Now with out giving away anything with even the slightest of spoilers,OH MY GOD! I was in tears for the first 2 chapters. Heart ripped out, could not breath, blubbering mess for those 2 chapters and I just wanted to jump in the book and hug Jo. Then there was a "WHAT THE HECK" moment with Gran and I was yelling at J.L. Mac (even though she couldn't hear me) wanting to know why she was so mean letting Jo (and me) suffer and then the "OH THANK GOD" moment and then more "what the heck" and will the suffering ever end and then....well go read it and find out. It is AMAZING and WONDERFUL and I want more!  It was an emotional roller coaster with crying, cheering, and even laughing with Gran. You got to love an old woman who will tell ya like it is. You cheer Jo on and tell her not to give up but at the same time you want to tell her you wouldn't blame her if she did. Can't wait for the next book in the series that is titled Accept Me. As always, J.L.Mac has done it again and did not disappoint and the wait for this book was SO WORTH IT! There is no doubt that this will be on the best seller list.

(I got this from her facebook page)

My review: 4 stars
This is a great book. Victor is a HOT, Sexy, Latin rock star who wants to have a normal life. You fall in love with him right away. You know Elle has been hurt & you just keep hoping she will get past all the pain from her past and learn to live again. It's true that it is a lot like other books in that it is a story about a guy and a girl falling in love but it is still a great read & I enjoyed it. Hot, sexy, & full of love, with the struggles of overcoming a bad past. Also even though Victor is a singer it is not like all the other music based books where the rock star knows he is great and thinks everyone should love him just for that and that is what made me like this story.  It was simple and easy to follow and had those OMG moments and a few “What the heck” moments.  Over all it was just a great read and I recommend it to anyone who wants a great love story and a hot, sweet, Latin guy to drool over for awhile. I can't wait to see what is in store with the next book. It has my mind wondering about all sorts of things that could happen.

Every Rose by Lynetta Halat

Synopsis from Goodreads.com
What do you do when you realize you were foolish enough to throw away true, unconditional love?
Lorraina Dabney turns her back on her creativity and tumultuous upbringing to embark on a college career that will lead her to law school and to becoming what she values most in life—a controlled, powerful, respected woman. When she stumbles upon her childhood friend's artwork, she feels inspired to reconnect with him and her former self. This onslaught of emotion will send Lorraina in a tale-spin to figure out exactly why she abandoned all that she was, all that she could've been.
Coming from his own chaotic upbringing, Michael falls quickly and deeply in love with Lorraina at a tender age. Even her rejection can't stand in the way of his obsession. When she starts to date other boys, however, Michael finally relents, causing him to spiral further into a world filled with violence, drugs, alcohol, and women. Realizing this lifestyle will only lead to his further estrangement from Lorraina, Michael sets about to turn himself around before going to get his girl.

My Review: 5+ stars (because there are not enough stars in the world for this one)
OMG! OMG! OH MY GAAAAWD! So, I had never heard of this book or this AMAZING author until this past Tuesday when I posted on the blog facebook page and she commented on the post. Yep she likes my page! SQUEEEEEE!!!!! Ok, I’m calm again. I am sooooooo thankful for that morning because this is an AWESOME book and I might have never found it if it wasn’t for that comment & post. I have a hard time picking favorites and I usually have favorites in different categories but this is right up there with my classic favorite of all time like Pride & Prejudice and Romeo & Juliet. Yep it is that good. Anyway, so after Lynetta comments I decide I am going to check her out. After all it’s not every day an author asks you to go look at her page. So I go take a peek and read her teaser and go to Goodreads to find out more about this book. The cover and title immediately send me back in time thinking about a favorite song of mine from freshman year of high school and it still is a favorite, Every Rose Has It’s Thorns by Poison. (HINT: it’s mentioned in the book too. Great minds think alike LOL J) So after reading what the book is about I go to Amazon and 1-click it. As soon as I can I start reading it.
Normally I don’t say anything about the book really because I hate to spoil anything even the little things but this is just too good not to give you a little something. It starts out with a sweet little romance of boy sees girl, falls in love, tells girl how he feels and she runs like hell to get away. Not what you were expecting huh? There are tons of stories where the boy & girl fall in love and live happily ever after, and there are tons of stories about the abused child growing up and over coming things or other tragic stories of overcoming life but this is different in so many ways. Now, you will have to read it to find out what all happened but I will warn you the last few chapters are hard to get through. I think I went through 2 boxes of Kleenex and those last few chapters took me longer to read than anything because I couldn’t see through the sobs. Yes SOBS! Blubbering, body shaking crying sessions is how I got through it. It draws you in and won’t let go. Even when I HAD to put it down for whatever reason I found myself thinking about it. When it ended I was a little sad that it was over. It has a great ending and unlike a lot of books if there is no next book it was amazing enough to be over but I really kind of hope that Lynetta will do another part and let us know what becomes of Lorraina. HINT HINT ;) ;) Just sayin’.
I can’t say it enough how amazing this story was and how touching it was. Read it for yourself and see what you think. It’s not just a good read but it will have you thinking about life at least it did me.

Love in All the Wrong Places by Audrey Harte

Synopsis from Goodreads.com
Annie Chang is in her mid 20s and has lived in Los Angeles all her life. After a series of failed relationships, she's beginning to feel like she will never meet Mr. Right. But seeing one of her longtime BFFs find love on the internet, she decides to give online dating a try.
After finally finding an amazing guy who sweeps her off her feet, will he prove to be everything she could have wished for and more or is he too good to be true?

My review: 4 stars
Loved this debut book and it really was hard to believe it was her first book. Audrey is so talented and a natural at writing. The main character Annie is one of those that you want to slap one minute and then hug the next. You can't believe some of the things she does but then you feel sorry for her because you can relate. Most of us have had that bad relationship and have felt like we will never find the right guy at one time or another. I literally found myself yelling at my kindle "oh you are not going to..." and saying “aww he’s so sweet”.  It was hot and steamy but just enough to be believable and that it could all happen to anyone and I really liked that. Sometimes you read things and think to yourself that could only happen in a book or a movie. Not this one it was all believable. I can’t wait to see what happened next. Congratulations on a fantastic debut book Audrey Harte.

Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Book Description from Amazon

April 2, 2013
Can you love someone too much?
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

Goodreads

My review: 3 stars
I know I may get (virtual) rotten tomatoes thrown at me but to be honest I was a little disappointed in this book. There was a lot of hype because the first one was AWESOME. I LOVED the Beautiful Disaster and I couldn't wait for Walking Disaster to come out. I mean I knew it was going to be the same story line but from Travis' POV but I was just expecting more. I mean this was TRAVIS MADDOX telling his story! This wasn't bad but I wouldn't say it was great either. I felt like I was reading Beautiful Disaster all over again. Yes this was from Travis' POV but it just seemed like it was almost the same in most parts. It still had some emotion and I found myself crying from time to time but I knew what was going to happen so, while I didn't want to put down the first book this one took me longer to read. There was nothing holding me to it and not really anything to look forward to or hope for. The best part of the whole book was the epilogue. Not because it was the end but because that was where the excitement was found. That was where the new stuff came in and it felt like a new book. Like I said it wasn't bad but not one I would choose to read again and again. I'm not sure if there is a third book in this series but after this one I can wait and see if there is. It's like breaking up with a boyfriend just time for me to move on to something better.

Featured Author! Belle Aurora

In honor of Belle's book being released EARLY she has stopped by answered a few questions and I am going to give you just a little taste of the awesome book, Friend-Zoned. Did I mention I love this book!

So here is just a little synopsis about it:
Nikolai Leokov never thought he’d fall in love with the only girl he’s ever befriended.
Valentina Tomic has issues with commitment after the ultimate betrayal.
When Tina decides to make broody Nik’s day better, she never thought she would end up friends with the hard man.
Nik has never had a woman be so affectionate to him without expecting something in return.
Nik and Tina cordially invite you to read Friend-zoned.
A story of friendship, humour and love.

Please be sure to add it to your Goodreads TBR list. I had the pleasure of recieving an ARC of it and you can find my complete review of it here.

The following pictures are from Belle's facebook page and this will give you a little idea and look of Nik (how hot is he) & Tina.

And here is one of all of the "friends"

So now you have seen all the sexy people in the book you can get to know Belle a little. She is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!

Interview with Belle Aurora

When did you first realize you wanted to be a write?
I am a read-aholic. I never thought of writing though. Earlier this year I decided to give it a shot because Nik and Tina have been in my head for a long time. I had everything formed, I just needed to get it out of my brain and onto paper. I spent months jotting down one-liners and conversations between the Friend-Zoned characters. I wrote Friend-Zoned in just over a month and what I found was once I started writing, I couldn’t stop until their story was complete. I spent many nights awake into the wee hours of the morning laughing and/or sobbing because their story is so lovely and heart-breaking at the same time.

Do you have a favorite author?
Sure do. Two actually. R.L. Mathewson and Kristen Ashley. They write amazing stories that are lined with equal parts of humor and intensity. I love that.

If you had to choose what are your top 5 favorite books?
Knight by Kristen Ashley.
Playing for keeps by R.L. Mathewson.
Curio by Cara McKenna.
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.
Not a chance by S.C. Stephens – Because of the ending.

I have heard some authors write based on things that happen to them or things they dream about. How did you come up with the story for Friend-Zoned?
Friend-Zoned didn’t come to me for a long time. But Tina was in my head for a while. I thought a lot about what makes Tina special. She is so sweet and loving, you can’t help but fall in love with her. Then I thought about what type of man would be perfect for her – and so Nik was born. Next I formed all the friendships. The story was the very last thing I thought about and I honestly can’t remember how it came to me. It could’ve been somewhere so mundane, probably at the supermarket or someplace like that.

How did you come up with the characters names?
Tina was originally to be named Tea (said Tey-ah) but I figured it would be too confusing for people so I decided on a name that was sweet and could be shortened which also came from Croatian heritage, that’s how I came up with Valentina. Nikolai and Maximilian were named by their father Ilia. He decided on those names because Nikolai means Victory of the people and Maximilian means Great one. Cecilia (Nik’s mom who comes from a Mexican background) was in charge of naming the sisters Leticia, Maria and Isabel.
The other names were just luck of the draw. Whatever sounded good to me.

When you were writing did you have anyone (models, actors, friends) that reminded you of the characters?
Whenever I saw modeling photos of Julio Capeletti I thought of Nik. He is the Nik of my dreams.
I had a vision of Tina in my head from the day I thought her up and when I saw a picture of Claudia Lynx I mentally yelled That’s Her!

Did you have songs (playlist) you wrote to?
James Arthur – Impossible
U2 – With or without you
Mcfly – Love is easy
Of monsters and men – Little talks
Beyonce – Halo
Macklemore – Thrift shop
Ed Sheeran – Give me love
Will.I.Am ft. Britney Spears – Scream and shout
Pink ft Fun – Reason
Mumford and Sons – I will wait
All of these songs I listened to and felt they best portrayed certain parts of scenes from the book. I love all these songs.

Is there anything you want to share or let your readers know about?
Nik was originally going to be an only child (gasp!), when you read Friend-Zoned and meet Max you’ll realize why that is such a big deal because this book without Max would have been lacking. Not to mention Ceecee would never have come into the story either and she is my heart. It would’ve felt wrong without them.

Fun on questions?
What book boyfriend would you want to be stranded somewhere with? (can be any even your own)
Lee Nightingale from Rock Chick! Too bad he wouldn’t even look at me though because Indie is his heart.
Le sigh.

What is your favorite food and drink?
Well I live in Australia so you all need to understand me when I say Dr Pepper is my all-time favorite drink…and we don’t have it in Oz! Waaaahhhh! I get it imported though. Yippee!
My favorite food is Sushi! Yum yum.

I have to ask and I want you to think fast on the next few.
Twilight or Vampire Diaries which is better?
Twilight – Only because I haven’t read or watched the vampire diaries. Which I will add to my TBR.

Bad boy or nice guy which would you prefer?
Every woman wants a bad boy who is only good to her. Yummy.

Thank you so much Belle for stopping by. Good luck with your book release

My review:5 stars
I absolutely loved this book. It had action, love, laughs, & super natural beings. I was not expecting much since it was a debut but was pleasantly surprised with how great it was written. As I read it I could feel the feelings the characters were having and they felt like friends when I finished. Her writing is so descriptive that I could see the characters and the place in my mind. It was like being in the book. I could not put it down. I started reading it at like 10:00 one night and the next thing I knew it was 4:00 in the morning and I was done. The bad part was it ended to soon. Can't wait to see wait happens next. Oh and the Guardians was not what I expected and I loved it that is all I'll say so not to spoil them. Looking forward to the second book in the series called Wolf Dream.

I'm so Lucky.....Friend-Zoned by Belle Aurora

I'm so lucky and honored and lucky! I got an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) of Friend-Zoned by Belle Aurora. Yes I'm bragging, bad me :( I am sorry. WAIT! No I'm not because I just finished reading an amazing book that I could not wait to tell you about. I was't even finished with this book and I had to ask Belle if I had to wait for it's release which is scheduled for April 15th. I was so glad when she said I could go ahead and review it I was jumping up and down with excitement. Here is the the synopsis from Goodreads.com

Nikolai Leokov never thought he'd fall in love with the only girl he's ever befriended.
Valentina Tomic has issues with commitment after the ultimate betrayal.
When Tina decides to make broody Nik's day better, she never thought she would end up friends with the hard man.
Nik has never had a woman be so affectionate to him without expecting something in return.
Nik and Tina cordially invite you to read Friend-zoned.
A story of friendship, humour and love.

So, what did I think well....

My Review: 5 stars

It is a must read and if you don't have it on your TBR list you need to put it there now. I'll warn you it is an emotional roller coaster. It had me laughing, crying, scared, and asking what the heck. The characters are all great and you just want to step into the book and hug them all. Belle Aurora knows how to write so that not only do you feel the emotions of the characters but I swear I could actually hear their voices in my head. LOL ok I may be a little crazy for admitting that but, seriously I love how she wrote some words like people would say them so as you read you can hear that little New York accent and it's not just HOT but HAWT. This book had me laughing out loud not just smirking or smiling big I was laughing out loud. So if you can't tell I LOVED THIS BOOK and I can't wait to read more of her work and find out what happens next in this series. Which she revealed the name of and it is Love Thy Neighbour and you can find a teaser of it HERE.

By the way, if you check out her facebook fan page you will see she is working on another book called Sucks to Be You and she just revealed the cover of it today. Isn't it a cool cover?
Good luck and much success to you Belle and I look forward to reading all your work.

So, since this book isn't out yet I can't post links to where to buy it but when it does come out I will share that with you. For now you can find out more about it on Goodreads.com
