Because of Ellison Cover Reveal

When I was nineteen years old, I lived for sex, drugs and a good party. I had it all - good looks, a fast car and a hot girlfriend. Nothing in life was more important.

That was, until I met Ellison James….

Since the moment I first saw her she was a raging bull; tackling me in the mud and throwing out insults as fast as her tongue could form the sound.

She was snarky
She was rude
And she pissed me off like no other woman could.

I lived beside her for a summer and in the three months that I walked by her side...

She opened my eyes
She changed my life
And she made me a better man

I approached Ellison and we stood nose to nose and chest to chest because I’d walked up so close. She craned her neck to look up at me and I raised my hands to smooth down her arms. But I couldn’t touch her. I held my hands at her shoulders and I looked down at her longingly, but I just couldn’t push past the thin, invisible force that seemed to surround her. I didn’t want to be like Finn. I didn’t want to push myself on her when she was already upset about something else. It wasn’t fair to her. The energy from her body brushed across my palms and I felt twisted up inside because I couldn’t actually touch her.

She blinked slowly and the blue was shining in contrast with her red-rimmed eyes. I could smell the beer on her and she swayed slightly. “Please don’t, Hunter. Please don’t make this harder.” Her voice was a breathy whisper and I closed my eyes in reaction to it. I wanted to do more than touch her. I wanted to sweep her up in my arms and cradle her to me. I wanted to hold her until all the pain and worry left her body. I wanted to tell her I’d take care of her, I’d cherish her, I’d…that, in reality, I’d end up leaving her.

I’d never felt pain before like I did at that moment. It tore at me. Physical pain shot through my body and my chest tightened. But I pulled my hands back to myself. I protected her heart by not touching her.

For once, I was trying not to be the selfish bastard I knew I was.

Night Moves by Andrea Smith Blog Tour

There's a new Alpha in town… and he's a Brit!

Darcy Nicole Sheridan, is 22 years-old, beautiful, single, spirited, sexy and  - spoiled. She knows that about herself. Raised by wealthy (and doting) parents as an only child, Darcy pretty much coasts through life until her heart was inexplicably broken by her boyfriend, Darin.

To ease the pain, Darcy flies to Belize over the holidays fully intending to wallow in self-pity and distance herself from her ex. Her pity party is short-lived however, after observing a very handsome, very intriguing man on the beach. Darcy becomes the focus of the smokin' hot, wealthy and somewhat mysterious 'E.J.'

Soon she finds herself entangled with an alpha like no other…  Her world is rocked by a series of events that will forever change the course of her life, showing her what love is all about; and forcing her to come to terms with hidden sexual pleasures only one man could fulfill…

This book is intended for mature audiences.

“He omitted the fact that I looked a lot like the last woman he may actually have truly cared for. I mean, yeah, he told me that I wasn’t anything like Lacee... but what about Bianca friggin’ Templeton? And then he just walks out of my life, expecting me to never have figured it out and call him out on that kind of bullshit? Yeah... fuck that and fuck him. It’s time a woman takes him down a few pegs.”

“Careful, sweetheart.” Eli replied, as he leaned up against my bedroom dresser, “You’re starting to sound like one of those ‘Hell hath no fury like a lover scorned’ girls who sit up in their attic, planning some poor schmuck’s demise.”

I considered that for a good second, looking down at the carpet. “This isn’t about that, Eli.” I finally said. “It’s about being lied to by someone who was clearly using me as a stand-in for...what? Prolong an ended relationship? To use me as some sort of fantasy in bed, so he can fuck ‘the one that got away’?” I looked back over at him.

He shrugged. “I don’t know. And maybe it’s better that we don’t know.” He walked over to me, putting his hands on my shoulders, “I don’t get it. One minute, I could swear you love the guy; the next minute you’ve got this “evil vixen” thing going that I can’t comprehend.”

I couldn’t say anything to that. I didn’t even fully understand why I was reacting the way I was.

Eli pulled away from me, crossing his arms. “A piece of advice, Darce? When it comes fucking someone over... Don’t fuck with someone who knows how to fuck you harder.”

The Seraphina Parrish Trilogy Blog Tour

This is a three (yes I said 3) part review. I read and will review the whole trilogy
Publication Date- November 30, 2013
Genre- YA/Fantasy/Time Travel/Romance
Ever since her sixteenth birthday, strange things keep happening to Seraphina Parrish. Unexplainable premonitions catapult her to faraway cities. A street gang wants to kill her, and a beautiful, mysterious boy stalks her.

But when Sera moves to Chicago, and her aunt reveals their family connection to a centuries old, secret society, she’s immediately thrust into an unbelievable fantasy world, leading her on a quest to unravel the mysteries that plague her. In the end, their meanings crash into an epic struggle of loyalty and betrayal, and she’ll be forced to choose between the boy who has stolen her heart and the thing she desires most.

Wander Dust is the breathtaking fantasy that will catapult you through a story of time, adventure, and love.

3 Stars

Ok so this is the first book in the series and it starts off with Seraphina celebrating her 16th birthday and some strange things happen. She starts to notice more and more of these strange things that are happening. Now from the synopsis you know that there is a “Lady in Black” that burns Sera’s memories, she has premonitions that take her to other cities, there is a gang trying to kill her, a mysterious stalker boy and she moves to Chicago.  All of this grabs me and makes me want to read this story and fall in love with this society. I did enjoy it and it had some very interesting parts and I won’t go into detail so that I won’t spoil it BUT I did have a hard time sticking with it. I wanted to LOVE it I really did. I would be reading and enjoying and getting into the story and then it would just drop off or I would get confused and so I would take a break from it. I put it down several times but after a time I would want to go back to it. So that is good because it was like it was pulling me back to it and I did finish it and was glad I did. It is just one of those books that you have to read for yourself. It isn't bad and like I said I enjoyed it but I think it could have been more focused and not so much jumping around. I did really like the ending and I am looking forward to the next book.

Seraphina’s keeping a secret from her Wandering team: she’s perfecting her fighting skills. But telling Sam and Bishop the truth would only alert them to her plan: to go back in time, save her mom, and finish what she started. With the help of Turner, Bishop’s handsome twin, she progresses toward her goal but plummets deeper into dangerous territory where the lines of friendship and romance are blurred. One passionate kiss changes everything, leading Sera to unravel a shocking web of family secrets, heartbreaking ulterior motives, and sinister agendas. Love and lies collide in a haunting climax, where the truest souls may not survive.

3 stars

So I read the first book in the series Wander Dust and I enjoyed it but had hoped that this one would be even better. Well again I enjoyed Protecting Truth but I am going to start with what I didn’t like. Like I said I liked it but it was not much better than the first. It didn’t have that WOW! that I love in books. I was able to finish it faster than the first so it did keep my attention better. It just left me wanting to know what the point of being a Wanderer was or if there even was a point.  It had a lot of action but maybe too much for me. This might be a slight spoiler and I am sorry if you think it is but I have to say that the beginning scene starts with her in a fight and it goes on forever it seemed. Normally I love a lot of details but this was more than I needed and I was glad when it was over. I hate to say it but it almost felt like the author was trying to get a certain word count in. It also left me with a lot of questions but that makes it a little intriguing. Hopefully they will be answered in the last book in the trilogy and this makes me like it because it really draws me in and I can’t wait to see what will happen. I also like the building of the world that she created, although it does remind me of the Harry Potter world that is ok because I liked that world to. So overall, this one was a little better than the first and I enjoyed escaping reality for a bit with it and I hope the third one will continue to get better and answer some of the questions I have.

As the corruption of the Society intensifies and the questions surrounding her mother mount, Seraphina Parrish embarks on a journey to find Terease in the terrifying Wandering city of Nocturna. But the information she learns there only sends her team on a dangerous mission to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Delving deep into the disturbing secrets of their world, the revelations quickly unravel, revealing shocking truths about the Society and Sera’s life. In the end, power and courage clash in a mission for freedom that may shatter the Wandering world completely.

4 stars
Well I finished the trilogy with the third and final book. I must say I am a little sad to see it end. I had a really hard time with the first 2 books in the series. This one was so much better than either of them. As always I will not be giving any spoilers so you will have to read all 3 books to find out for yourself what happens. I will say that all my questions I had after the other books were answered and it all came together in a great way. While Sera learns more about herself we do too and that is where a lot of my answers came in. I was so glad that I went ahead and read this one. It really was the best of the series and what a great way to end it. You have to read all three books to get the full story and it is a good series for people of all ages. Also, the characters all grew on me in this book and I really loved it.
